Artist Statement:

“I have enjoyed putting pencil to paper my entire life. As an architect, I was always drawing - albeit floor plans, building elevations and construction details. Upon retirement and a chance visit to the sea, I dusted off a 50-year-old watercolor paint box and put brush to paper. A whole new world opened up! The built-in luminosity of watercolor is what it’s all about. Light in nature is the inspiration. Color is the added gift. The challenge is the capture: the painting.”
