About The Artist

Art by Jackie ZagonJackie Zagon (d. 2021) attended LIU Southampton College and earned a B.A. in Drawing and Painting, five years after becoming a grandmother. She won awards from honorable mention to first prize in many New York art associations. Her art was favorably reviewed by the New York Times, and has been in the Heckscher Museum.

Zagon's artwork is in: oils, watercolors, acrylic, pen & ink, monotypes, papermaking, collage, computer art and sculpture. Her body of work includes: landscapes, still lifes and non-literal mindscapes. She taught acrylic painting seminars, and headed up a local plein air painting group, The Wet Paint Society.
