Connie Cruise

About The Artist

Connie M. Cruise, born 1968 in Virginia. As a child, she spent her free time reading or sketching. She’d spend hours getting the details of her favorite cartoon character or animal just right! Cruise moved with her family to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 1983. She attended Manteo High School where she took her first art classes. Surrounded by the beaches, marshlands and wildlife, she discovered a deeper appreciation for the beauty of nature and captured it on paper with her sketches.

She married and started a family, but didn’t have much time for art. Cruise returned to her love of art, learning as she goes, striving to grow as an artist and appreciating the journey along the way. She has taken art classes from local artists, as well as other art courses over the years.
