Vernon Rollins, a full time professional artist, is a native of Tidewater Virginia and maintains a studio in his residence. He is a painter of the Atlantic seashore and tideland scenery. Coastal lighthouses and rolling sand dunes are constant sources of inspiration and subject matter. His paintings are predominantly realistic, although his admiration of the French impressionists is frequently reflected in his works of water lilies, poppy fields, and native wild flowers. He works almost exclusively with acrylic polymer and constantly explores the many facets of expression and endless possibilities this medium offers. Rollins holds a BA degree from Baylor University in Theatrical Scenery Design and Production. He is a member of several local and national artists organizations including The American Art Society and the Rehoboth Art League of Rehoboth Beach Delaware. His works are included in both private and public collections including The Museum of the Albemarle, The American Art Society, the Seaside Art Gallery in Nags Head, North Carolina, and The Mu Epsilon Society of Realistic Painters.
