In the beginning, Bob Nolin painted landscapes, but in recent years he moved the focus, much closer, which allows him to show the detail and character of his subjects.
He was a Fine Arts major at Glassboro State College, Glassboro, NJ 1975-1977 and a Fine and commercial art major at Du Cret School of Arts, Plainfield, NJ 1979-1981. Nolin has exhibited at the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Sumerset, PA in 1993, Kentucky Watercolor Society 16th Annual National Exhibition in 1993, and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society Annual Exhibition in 1993. He has been a member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society since 1993.
Bob's work has been published in national and international publications, such as American Artist and International Artist, and has begun to win awards in national exhibitions. He works in watercolor and colored pencil, and recent works combine these media with India ink, allowing him a full and dramatic range of visual depth and drama. In 2003, Bob was awarded Signature Status in the Colored Pencil Society of America. You can also view his work at www.bobnolin.com.
